現地10月17日、シカゴ・ブルズが今シーズン2WAY契約を結んでいた河村勇輝選手との契約解除を発表しました。
今夏、ブルズの一員として参戦したサマーリーグで平均10.2得点2.4リバウンド6.2アシスト2.2スティールを記録し、ブルズとの2WAY契約を勝ち取った河村選手。トレーニングキャンプを経てプレシーズンに2試合出場したものの、その後は右足の痛みによる欠場が続いていました。
ブルズの番記者によると契約解除は右足の痛みに関連した判断とのこと。また、ブルズの広報によると河村選手はシカゴに残って治療を続けるということで、番記者によって河村選手がチーム施設でリハビリに励んでいる様子も確認されました。
開幕を目前にして非常に残念な契約解除となってしまいましたが、河村選手にはまずは怪我をしっかり治してもらい新たなチャンスを掴みとって欲しいところですね。河村選手の今後の活躍に期待しましょう。

Bulls have released Yuki Kawamura, which Bulls PR confirms is due to a medical condition. Kawamura has been sidelined with right lower leg pain.
Coach Billy Donovan will talk to media following Saturday practice. Bulls are off Friday.
